SUMMARY:Nov 1st ~ Temazcal: Return to the Womb of the Earth
DESCRIPTION:Sweat\, release\, and be reborn.\n\n\n\nThe temazcal is an ancient Mesoamerican purification ritual. Inside the lodge\, in darkness and heat\, we return to Mother Earth’s womb. Through steam\, medicinal herbs\, prayer\, and song\, we release what we no longer need and emerge renewed: lighter in body\, clearer in mind\, and open in heart. \n\n\n\nThe Ceremony\n\n\n\nOpening & Intention. We gather\, ground\, and set our prayers before entering the lodge. \n\n\n\nTemazcal. A guided purification ceremony with sacred heat\, herbal steam\, song\, and prayer. \n\n\n\nRehydration & Nourishment. We come out and restore the body with herbal teas and fresh fruit. \n\n\n\nSong Circle. We lift our voices together in medicine songs and gratitude. \n\n\n\nCacao Ceremony. We close by opening the heart with ceremonial cacao\, sealing the day’s medicine. \n\n\n\nWhat to Bring\n\n\n\n\nSwimsuit or light\, loose cotton clothing- women we recommend a dress.\n\n\n\nTwo towels and a change of clothes\n\n\n\nA water bottle\n\n\n\nA blanket or shawl for after\n\n\n\nAn intention you’re ready to release\n\n\n\n\nPlease Prepare\n\n\n\n\nDrink plenty of water the day before and the morning of\n\n\n\nEat lightly beforehand; avoid heavy meals\n\n\n\nNo alcohol or recreational substances for at least 24 hours before\n\n\n\n\nImportant Health Note\n\n\n\nThe temazcal involves intense heat. Please let us know before joining if you are pregnant or have a heart condition\, high or low blood pressure\, epilepsy\, diabetes\, or any serious health condition.
